Today was another snow day. No one could really get out of their neighborhoods unless they had some serious chains on their tires or they had huge trucks. So I stayed in and knit a bit and then headed out to Safeway which is about 2 miles from my house. The walk would have been a bit better had the sidewalks not been so icy. But I made good time and was back within 2 hours. The place was packed. I was suprized at all the people that drove. People were fishtailing all about on the roads and driving like they would if the roads were dry. Even though the walk was long, I’d prefer that to driving. At least I knew I would make it home in one piece.
