Really? More snow?
I got up this morning, turned on the tv and there it was… more snow… more accidents related to snow and ice.
Check out the drive to work…
I’m hoping that this morning was the end of it. Most of the snow was melted by the time I left work this evening. Tonight, I’m just going to [...]

Things I saw today
As I was driving up 99, I saw a massive hawk sitting in a tree watching all of us drive along and waiting for, I’m only assuming, a small weak child to prey on. This hawk was huge. It looked like it was the size of a baby terradactyl.
Then I saw some small snowflakes. So [...]

Um… yeah, it's still snowing
It’s been a bit crazy the past couple of days. I’ve been getting a little cabin fever. I was able to go out yesterday and do some running around… thank god. Today I was stuck inside. Which was probably good because I had some laundry and housework to do before heading back east.
I decided to [...]

Just waiting for the next storm to hit
I ventured out of the neighborhood today. And it wasn’t by foot! It was by car. Getting out of the neighborhood was a bit tricky. But once I got to Renton, the roads weren’t too bad. A few times the ice under the tires made it feel like I was driving on a cobblestone road. [...]

Snow day!
Today was another snow day. No one could really get out of their neighborhoods unless they had some serious chains on their tires or they had huge trucks. So I stayed in and knit a bit and then headed out to Safeway which is about 2 miles from my house. The walk [...]

will it be a 4 day weekend?
I had to walk to Walgreen’s this evening. It’s about a 3 mile round trip walk. I took my camera along and took a few shots. Walgreens is on the corner of Rainier and Genesee, which is a busy intersection. Rainier takes you north to the First Hill neighborhood. It eventually turns into Boren which [...]

And it's still snowing
So took a few more pictures a few minutes ago. It’s still snowing. Kink has been whining all morning. So I decided I would let them go out and play in the snow. As soon as I opened the door, Jimbo sniffed at the air, and turned around and laid down on the couch. Kink [...]

Snowman outlook – good
Ok, so here’s what it looked like about half an hour/hour ago.
And here’s the stairs that lead up to the house.
I walked out to the main road and it was just one sheet of compact snow and ice. I’m guessing I won’t be able to make it out of my neighborhood until later today.
Well, [...]

What a snowy mess!
We’ve been having a lot of storms recently and it’s been just a mess to try and get to work. We’re not used to snow and ice here. Our typical winter weather is about 40 degrees, grey skies and rain in some form. It’s rare that we get snow. Maybe one day a year. But [...]

More snow?
For the love of all that is holy! According to Weather.com we are suppose to have snow all day tomorrow. How much of it sticks to the ground, who knows. But I have to say, I am tired of wearing two pairs of socks, running tights, jeans, a long sleeve shirt, two polar fleece tops, [...]
